Notre Dame Football Rant

Notre Dame loses their home opener to Northern Illinois, and I’ll say Marcus Freeman should be on the hot seat. Riley Leonard should go ahead and join whatever consulting firm he’s going to after graduation. This loss is unacceptable and far from a fluke. Freeman has lost games like this in the past; you can’t pay a team $1.4 million to fly out and pay you and then lose to that team. Do you think Kirby Smart loses his games? Do you think Nick Saban would lose games? Hell, even Brian Kelly doesn’t lose these games! It’s pathetic. I should’ve known he wasn’t going to be a good football coach, or head coach at least, because he was just too in shape. I’m not trusting my college football coach to wear slim-fit pants on the sidelines. Of course, they won’t join a conference. They’ll get crushed—absolutely killed.

I feel the worst for the freshmen and seniors in the Notre Dame student section. Imagine your first Notre Dame home opener; you just partied with your new buddies, you’re five Miller Lites deep by 11:30 AM, and you’re feeling good. A team from the MAC is coming into town, and your team is four-touchdown favorites. You’re not even thinking about the possibility of losing; you’re just thinking if you’re gonna make out with one of those platinum blonde chicks in the stands after the game. And then Leonard goes out there, f***s it all up, and Notre Dame gets a field goal blocked and then attempts to win the game. I would transfer or drop out.

And I don’t care if he beat Texas A&M on the road last week; that makes this loss so much worse. The inconsistency is maddening. How can you show up and perform against a ranked opponent one week, only to falter against a lesser team the next? This defeat raises serious questions about the team's focus and preparation moving forward.
