The Day the Canadiens Hit the Jackpot: A Tribute to the Pacioretty Trade

This date in 2018 was one of the best days of my young life. The Montréal Canadiens acquired Nick Suzuki, Tomas Tatar and a 2019 second round pick who they used to select Mattias Norlinder. For that Max Pacioretty. Arguably the worst captain in Canadiens history. I'll give it to him he would look unreal for 25-30 games a year then completely disappear, but that's not what we are here to talk about. We are here to talk about the absolute fleece job that Marc Bergevin pulled off. Sending the streakiest player in the league to the Vegas Golden Knights in exchange for our future replacement for him as captain and face of the franchise. Just wanted to take a moment to let the hockey gods know I am forever grateful for this.
